Walk Of Life (Original)
- This track is a little bit different from what I usually do.
- I have mixed a bit of Asian element and electronic drum beat in this composition. The Chinese instrument you hear is sheng which is commonly used in China.
- I used a lot of pad and effect to create a more relaxing mood even though heavy drum was used.
- Walk Of Life by saikhuan
- I am using SoundCloud to share my music at this post. You can actually comment at any point of the track. It's fun. Try it.

Sape - Datun Julud (Original)
- Sape is a traditional instrument played by Orang Ulu from Malaysia. This instrument is usually played at festivals or celebrations.
- It is similar to a modern guitar and has two to four strings.
- Music written for Sape often use Pentatonic scale. eg. C key would use only notes C D E G A
- Tonic chord is usually played on first beat of almost every bar.
- From my music arrangement you just heard is one of Orang Ulu's traditional folk song called Datun Julud.
- The main melody is all played on F chord and on F pentatonic scale. That's F G A C D
- I use heavy string instruments and a couple of percussion instruments to accompany the arrangement.
- Will be posting new songs here soon. Come back often to check for new updates.

One (Original)
- I wrote this track some time back and used it as my demo to bid for projects.
- This track is heavily influenced by Hans Zimmer who has composed music for many movies, Lion King, The Rock, Crimson Tide, Da Vinci Code etc.
- Mix of orchestra and synthesizer. Live guitar recording towards the end of the track.
- A lot of orchestra percussion such as cymbals, timpani and side drums were used.
- I will be attending the Kuching Rainforest World Music Festival this weekend and quite excited about it.
- This musical event brings all renowned world musicians together on stage. Stalls will also be set up to sell food, drinks, crafts, percussions and music CDs.

The Achievers
- Please click on the Facebook Like link on the top right of this page to support me :) I promise I will post as often as possible.
- This is something I wrote for a TV3 program, The Achievers, which was aired about 5 years back.
- Simple chord progression, Am - G - F - G throughout the whole piece.
- It is amazing what you can do with just simple chords.
- Just by adding 7th note or 9th to your chords would bring a whole new tone to your chord progression.
- If I were to re-write those chords, I would most likely have played,
Am7 - Em7/G - Fmaj7 - Gadd9 - Then just improvise freely, and your melody would somehow fit perfectly. That was exactly what I did with this track.

Hello Music
- I am going to revive something I have done long time ago but did not have the time to do it.
- I am going to use this blog to talk about anything relating to music. From song reviews to my own music.
- This blog will be short and brief because I know there are too many blogs out there to follow and there is no reason why I should make you read long essays.
- For a start, I have composed something last weekend and would like to share it with you.
- It is a short piano piece with string instruments, violin and cello.
- Blast it out loud so you can hear the different layer of strings and the dynamics of the instruments.
- Simple song form with few basic chords.
- Let me know if you want the piano score.
- Also, recently I am learning dizi, a Chinese flute with mellow and expressive tone. It’s a difficult instrument especially if you want to play different octaves of notes.
